Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: I am getting an error when I try to register for swim lessons online. What should I do?
A: Prior to the online registration period, please practice logging in and familiarize yourself with the online system. If you are getting an error on the night of registration, please call us at (586) 268-8400 so that we can reserve you a spot in the class you are trying to register for. All issues will be resolved within 24 hours of your call.

Q: What level is appropriate for my child?
A: The best way to determine level placement is by attending a 'free test day' so that an instructor can evaluate your child in a one-on-one setting. However, if this is not possible please refer to the Level Placement page for more information. If you still have questions, please call the pool office directly at (586) 258-2051.

Q: What are the fees for swim lessons?
A: All fees include 8 sessions of instruction, a progress report half way through, and a certificate of completion for every child.

Preschool Lessons- $50
30 minutes, ages 4 and under.

Levels 1-6, Teen and Adult Lessons- $58
50 minutes, ages 5 and up.

Private Lessons- $200
50 minutes, ages 3 and up.

Semi-Private Lessons- $200 plus $25 for each additional student.
50 minutes ages 3 and up.

Q: If my child has to miss a class due to illness or a family vacation, can we attend a make-up lesson?
A: Unfortunately, we do not arrange for "make-up" lessons. If you know ahead of time that you will need to miss a lesson, please inform your instructor so that they can catch your child up on any missed information. If you know your child will be absent on the last day of class, let us know as soon as possible. This way, we will be able to have the certificate ready for your child on his/her last week of attendance.

Q: My child is between 11-13 years old, and the level placement guide gives two options. Which is right for my child?
A: There are some overlaps in ages between Level and Teen classes. This allows for more options for those ages 10-14. If your child falls into two ages groups, he/she can choose which age group they would feel most comfortable with. Also, this allows increased scheduling flexibility for siblings who wish to enroll together.
